Blush-white of waxy texture with a faint pink center and very narrow crimson edges to a few petals. A compact, generally incurved flower with the tips of the outer petals recurved from its ball-like center. Avalanche looks like Festiva Maxima but blooms later. Pair the two to continue the white with red streak display. Excellent cut flower. Holds up well. These vigorous plants will be filling your vases by their second or third year.
